Men’s Soccer Hat League – Revolving Tournament Format
The concept:
Players sign up individually, and teams are created by allocating players from each level of experience to form balanced teams.
Players compete to win each night for team and individual gain. The league is a structured competition building as the season progresses.
Ultimately, bragging rights are at stake since the league point leaders are posted on our site. Points are determined by team success each week.
The league games are played at the same time frame every week.
How does it work?
Men sign up individually and provide us with:
We accept the first 35 to 42 guys that register for a time slot (so we can have 6 - 7 guys per team MAX) and we create several pools: keepers, A players, young players, older players, C players, etc.
The grouped / rated players are “randomly, but evenly” assigned to 6 “even” teams
Those teams will play tournaments on Tuesday nights to see who wins each evening. Points will be given to individual players.
Each week teams will be reshuffled. Players will accumulate points each week as the season progresses. We will post a leaders board with the top ten players. At conclusion of the season an MVP and an all-star team will be announced.

What is the game length?
We play 20 minute tournament games, so 4 teams get 60 minutes each night. The other 2 teams will get 40 minutes. You will run.
Can people really rate themselves?
If there are any sandbaggers or dreamers out there, we will adjust the ratings as required.
Can players do both leagues?
Sure, we know there are a few double timers out there. Just register and pay for each one.
Anything else?
No doubt there is something still to be explained. Just be flexible. The first season of HAT was a blast. The idea is to have a fun competition and enjoy the game.
